R&B Crooner, SMITH is designing beautiful music for his listeners with the release of his highly anticipated single, “Tapestry”. SMITH is a longtime collaborator and protégé of Faith Evans and has performed with the likes of Tweet and Kim Burrell to name a few. Hailing from Baltimore, MD, SMITH’s blend of Gospel and 90’s R&B in what he calls “Church&B” (a la D’Angelo, Maxwell) makes “Tapestry” a certified soul jam and solidifying him as one of indie R&B’s most promising newcomers.
The video, shot by DC based artist Tabi Bonney (“The Pocket”), was inspired by the documentary Marc Jacob and Louis Vuitton.
“Watching [him] work really inspired me as an artist,” says SMITH. “It just made sense because the song talks about fabrics, patterns and colors.”
